Authorization validity para makapag-operate ang mga Private Emission Testing Centers pinalawig ng DOTr

Pinalawig ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) ang authorization validity para makapag-operate ang mga Private Emission Testing Centers (PETCs) sa bansa.

Ito ayon sa DOTr ay upang mapagsilbihin ang mga motorista na kailangang isailalim sa emission test ang kanilang mga sasakyan sa gitna ng mga ipinapatupad na community quarantine.

Sa inilabas na memorandum ng DOTr, binibigyan nito ng 15-araw o hanggang July 30 upang makapag-operate ang mga concerned PETCs at Motor Vehicle Emission Control Technicians (MVECTs).

Sa hiwalay na memorandum, pansamantala ring sininususpinde ng ahensya ang capping of emission test uploads per day para sa mga PETCs.

Dahil dito maari nang magtest ang mga PETCs ng hanggang 120 na sasakyan.

Pinapahintulutan din ang mga ito na mag operate ng mula 6:00AM hanggang 7:00PM.

Sabi ni DOTr Undersecretary for Administrative Service Artemio Tuazon na ang hakbang ay base sa direktiba ni Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade na tulungana ng mga may-ari nang sasakyan na kailangang kumuha ng Certificate of Emission Compliance na kaialngan upang makapagparehistro ng sasakyan.
