Pagkamatay ng mga high profile inmate sa Bilibid pinaiimbestigahan ng DOJ
Inatasan ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na imbestigahan ang pagkamatay ng siyam na high-profile inmates sa New Bilibid Prisons kabilang ang kontrobersyal na si Jaybee Sebastian.
Sa Department Order No. 179 ni Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, inatasan si NBI Officer-in-Charge Eric Distor na magsagawa ng imbestigasyon hinggil sa napaulat na pagkasawi ni Sebastian at 8 iba pa dahil umano sa COVID-19.
Binigyan ni Guevarra ng sampung araw lang ang NBI para isumite sa DOJ ang findings sa gagawing imbestigasyon.
Kahapon, ipinatawag ni Guevarra si BuCor Director General Gerald Bantag sa DOJ hinggil sa napaulat na pagkasawi ng high profile inmates sa Bilibid.
