Ang consortium na nagpapatakbo at nag-ooperate sa Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) ang kinuha para i-take over ang rehabilitation project sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Ayon sa Megawide Corporation, natanggap na nila ang official mula sa airport authorities para i-take over ang rehab sa NAIA.

“In a letter dated 15 July 2020, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) granted the consortium led by Megawide Construction Corporation with GMR as partner operator, the Original Proponent Status (OPS) for the development of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport,” ayon sa Megawide.
Nabinbin ang rehab project sa NAIA matapos na umtras ang NAIA consortium na dapat mangunguna sa proyekto.

Financial concerns ang binanggit na dahilan sa pag-atras.
