Tulong sa private schools pinamamadali ni Sen. Gatchalian

Nangangailangan na ng agarang tulong ang mga private school dahil sa mababang enrollment ngayon taon.

Ayon kay Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian, 24.3 percent lang o 1,050,437 sa apat na milyong nag-aral sa mga pribadong paaralan ang nagpa-enroll para sa School Year 2020 – 2021.

Bukod dito, may 323,524 private school learners ang lumipat sa public schools base sa inilabas na datos ng DepEd ukol sa resulta ng last enrollment day kahapon.

Nais matiyak ni Gatchalian na patuloy na ipapatupad ang government subsidy programs, Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP) at ang Education Service Contracting (ESC) para patuloy na makapag-aral ang mga estudyante sa private schools at kasabay nito makakatulong para sa operasyon ng mga paaralan.

Dagdag pa ng senador, dapat ay tiyakin na sa 2021 national budget patuloy na mapopondohan ang dalawang programa.

Dapat din aniya mabigyan ng subsidiya ang mga guro at empleado ng mga pribadong paaralan kayat kinakailangan nang maipasa ang Bayanihan to Recover As One Act (Senate Bill No. 1564) o ang Bayanihan 2.0.

May probisyon sa panukala na mabigyan ng one-time cash assistance ang mga apektadong teaching and non-teaching personnel sa private schools.
