Hindi pag-renew sa prangkisa ng ABS-CBN, ‘sole prerogative’ ng komite sa Kamara
‘Sole prerogative’ ng Committee on Legislative Franchises ng House of Representatives ang hindi pagbibigay ng panibagong prangkisa sa ABS-CBN.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, inirerespeto ng palasyo ang separation of powers sa pagitan ng dalawang co-equal branches.
Sa pagkakataong ito, ang lehislatura at ehekutibo.
“The decision of the House of Representatives
denying the franchise application of ABS-CBN Corporation is a sole prerogative of Congress that we in the Executive recognize,” ayon kay Roque.
Noon pa man ayon kay Roque ay ‘neutral’ na ang posisyon ng Malakanyang sa usapin.
“The Palace has maintained a neutral stance on the issue as it respects the separation of powers between the two co-equal branches government,” dagdag pa ni Roque.
