Publiko pinag-iingat ng BAI sa pagbili ng aso o pusa online
Pinag-iingat ng Department of Agriculture (DA) – Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) ang publiko sa pagbili ng mga alagang hayop online.
Ayon sa BAI, hindi dapat tangkilikin ang mga online sellers, traders at breeders ng aso at pusa lalo na kung walang BAI Animal Welfare Certificate Registration ang mga ito.
Ang Animal Welfare Certificate Registration ay required sa ilalim ng RA 8485 o Animal Welfare Act of 1998.
Sinabi ng BAI na nakatatanggap sila ng reklamo mula sa mga bumili ng alagang aso at pusa online.
Batay sa reklamong mukhang malusog naman ang aso o pusa nang kannilang bilhin online pero mayroon palang serysong kondisyon.
Paalala ng BAI, bumili lang ng aso o pusa sa reputable pet breeders o pet shops na may Certificate of Registration.
Huwag maging compulsive buyer at tiyaking malusog ang bibilhing alaga at kailangang may sertipikasyon mula sa isang duly Licensed Veterinarian.
Dapat ding icheck kung updated ang vaccination at deworming record.
At dapat mayroong written after sale agreements sa pagitan ng seller at ng bumili.
