Red Cross naglunsad ng programa para sa COVID-19 test sa mga mahihirap

Inilunsad ng Philippine Red Cross ang COVID Samaritan Program para ma-test ang mga mahihirap at walang kakayahan na magbayad para sa kanilang COVID 19 testing.

Sinabi ni Sen. Richard Gordon, na siura rin namumuno sa PRC, kailangan paigtingin ang testing para mapagtagumpayan na ang pakikipaglaban sa COVID 19.

Tiwala ang senador na sa pamamagitan ng bagong programa ng PRC ay makakatulong ng malaki sa ‘war against COVID 19.’

“Kailangan ma-test ang mga tao para manalo tayo laban sa COVID. This way, carriers can be separated from those who are not infected and they can be cured. At maaari na ring makabalik sa trabaho kapag na-test. Kaya sinimulan namin ang programang ito para pati ‘yung mga hindi kayang magbayad, maaaring makapagpa-test,” aniya.

Ibinahagi nito na ang Automobile Association of the Philippines, sa pamamagitan ni Jose Armando Eduque, ay nagbigay na ng halos P2.8-million para sa programa.

Aniya kalahati din ng donasyon ng Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare Philippines, Inc. (Lysol Philippines) sa PRC noong Mayo ay inilaan na sa COVID 19 Samaritan program.

“We cannot be a nation unless we help those who are deprived but are willing to fight. Those who want to give to the poor so they can be tested can donate funds,” sabi ng senador.
