Expanded testing sa COVID-19 aprudado na ng IATF

Palalawigin ng pamahalaan ang coronavirus disease (COVID-19) testing nito at isasama na ang mga pasyenteng asymptomatic o walang ipinakikitang sintomas.

Ito matapos ang pagbili ng pamahalaan ng 10 milyong test kits.

Ayon kay Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque inaprubahan na ito ng Inter-agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) “in principle”.

Maglalabas aniya ng guidelines tungkol dito ang National Task Force For Coronavirus Disease 2019 (NTF) at ang Department of Health (DOH).

Ani Roque isasama sa mga isasailalim sa test ang mga nagkaroon ng contact sa COVID-19 patients.

“Kasama na po sa mga i-tetest ay hindi lamang ang mga symptomatic at hindi lang yung nagkaroon ng contact sa mayroong COVID-19, kasama na rin po ang mga asymptomatic at posible po mapasama na rin po yung iba pang frontliners gaya ng media,” ani Roque.

Una nang sinabi ni NTF Deputy chief implementer Vince Dizon na nasa 50,000 na ang testing capacity ng gobyerno pero nasa 16,000 lang ang naisasailaim sa test.

Target ng gobyerno na maisailalim sa test ang 1.5 percent hanggang 2 percent ng populasyon ng bansa.
