Mga manggagawa na apektado sa pagbabawas ng sahod pinatutulungan sa pamahalaan

Pinabibigyan ni House Committee on Economic Affairs- economic cluster co-chairperson at Marikina Representative Stella Quimbo sa National Economic and Development Authority ng subsidiya ang mga manggagawa na apektado ng pagbabawas sa sweldo dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic.

Sa pagdinig ng Kamara sinabi ni Quimbo na dapat makahanap ng paraan ang pamahalaan upang masuportahan ang sahod ng mga empleyado.

Ito ayon sa mambabatas ay dahil malaki na ang naging epekto ng wage reduction sa poverty rate ng bansa.

Iginiit ng kongresista na dapat isipin ng gobyerno na “last policy resort” ang pagbabawas sa sweldo.

nangangamba ang mambabatas dahil posibleng kumapit lamang sa patalim ang mga manggagawa dahil sa hirap ng buhay ngayon kaya nagbigay ng consent sa wage wage reduction memo ng Department of Labor and Employment.

Sinabi naman ni NEDA Acting Secretary Karl Kendrick Chua na kailangan ngayon ang temporary wage reduction para mapanatili ang mga trabaho.
