P93M na halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo nakumpiska sa Subic

Aabot sa P93 million na halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo ang nakumpiska ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) sa Port of Subic.

Nasabat ang 40-foot containers na naglalaman ng mga smuggled na sigarilyo at pawang idineklarang LED lights.

Nadiskubreng hindi LED lights ang laman ng containers nang sumailalim sa X-ray at physical examination.

Tinatayang aabot sa 3,100 na kaha ng sigarilyo ang kinumpiska.

Mahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa National Tobacco Administration (NTA) Board Resolution No. 079-2005, NTA Memorandum Circular No. 03, Series of 2004, in relation to sec. 1113 (f) ng RA 10863 Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) ang consignee ng kargamento.
