Kamara, tatalima kung nais ni Pangulong Duterte na magkaroon ng special session para sa Bayanihan 2

Handa ang Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso na magsagawa ng special session sakaling hilingin ito ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para maaprubahan ang Bayanihan to Recover as One bill o ang “Bayanihan 2.”

Ayon kay House Majority Leader Martin Romualdez, naghinihintay na lamang sila ng direktiba mula sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang hinggil sa posibleng pagdaraos ng special session.

Sabi ni Romualdez, “The members of the House Majority are in full agreement that we all have to work for the passage of the Bayanihan II. We will get the job done.”

Makakatulong aniya ang “Bayanihan 2” kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para mapasigla muli ang ekonomiya ng bansa at mapalakas ang laban ng pamahalaan kontra COVID-19.

Simula noong Hunyo ay nag-adjourn sine die ang Kamara nang hindi naaprubahan ang “Bayanihan 2,” na siyang supplement measure sa Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.

Pending pa rin ito para sa period of amendments.

Sa ilalim ng panukala, bibigyan pa rin ng emergency subsidy ang mga displaced workers, support programs para sa mga apektadong sektor, pagkakaroon ng cash-for-work programs at iba pang tulong sa mga apektado ng public health crisis.

Layon ng panukalang ito na maglaan ng P162-billion standby fund na tatagal ng hanggang Setyembre 2020.
