Pilipinas, dapat makipag-ayos na sa EU – Sen. Gordon
Umaasa si Senator Richard Gordon na maaayos na ang gusot sa relasyon ng Pilipinas sa European Union at sa iba pang bansa kasabay ng pakikidigma ng buong mundo sa COVID-19.
Ayon kay Gordon, panahon na para maplantsa ng Pilipinas ang relasyon sa mga bansa dahil sa panahon aniya, hindi maaaring balewalain ang maaring maitulong ng ibang bansa.
Sinabi nito na maraming development assistance grants mula sa EU ang naibigay sa bansa at sumuporta din aniya ang mga ito sa ilang proyekto sa Muslim Mindanao.
Banggit ni Gordon na ang Philippine Red Cross ay may maayos na pakikipag-ugnayan sa ilang Red Cross societies sa Europe.
“We have worked with the German Red Cross, Spanish Red Cross, Netherlands, the Norwegian, the Finnish Red Cross and other Red Cross societies from Europe,” sabi ng senador, na chairman ng Philippine Red Cross.
Dagdag pa nito, ang mga nabanggit na grupo ay sumuporta sa kanilang disaster relief and management operations.
“Immediately responding to our appeals for help whenever a disaster strikes in any part of the country,” sabi pa nito.
