Inilalagay ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) sa pinakamababang 1.9 percent hanggang sa pinakamataas na 2.7 percent ang June inflation.
Noong nakaraang Mayo, nakapagtala ng 2.1 percent inflation.
Idinahilan ni BSP Gov. Benjamin Diokno ang price pressures na nakapagpataas ng inflation.
“Higher gasoline, diesel, and kerosene prices as well as the uptick in the price of rice due to supply bottlenecks contributed to positive price pressures during the month,” ani Diokno.
Ito ay base sa ginawang assessment ng Department of Economic Research ng BSP.
Dagdag pa ni Diokno, “these could be partly offset by slightly lower LPG price and electricity rate in Meralco-serviced areas.”
Una nang binago ng BSP ang 2020 inflation forecasst sa 2.3 percent mula sa 2.2 percent.
