Ito ay sa gitna ng protesta mula sa ilang doktor at municipal health officers.
Ayon kay DOH Western Visayas CHD director, Dr. Marlyn Convocar, pansamantalang suspendido ang deployment hangga’t hindi pa naaayos ang mga isyu ng ilang doktor at municipal health officers.
“As such, deployment will be temporarily held in abeyance until issues and concerns are settled with all concerned physicians and other stakeholders. Necessary coordination with CHD Central Visayas was also made immediately,” pahayag ni Convocar.
Plano sanang magpadala ng apat na batch ng mga doktor kabilang ang 25 Doctors-to-the-Barrios (DTTB) at 14 Post Residency Deployment Program (PRDP).
Magsisimula sana ang deployment sa araw ng Lunes, June 29, hanggang September 5.
Kada batch, magkakaroon dapat ng 14 araw na duty at 14 araw na mandatory quarantine period.
“As the country remains in the state of public health emergency due to COVID-19 and cases are reaching critical point in Cebu City, CHD WV is calling for nationalism in the hearts of public health care workers to join the call for service where the service is most needed,” dagdag pa ni Convocar.
