Naniniwala si Senator Panfilo Lacson na nasasayang lang ang pakikipaglaban ng gobyerno sa COVID-19 hanggang hindi naaayos ang pamunuan ng DOH.
Ayon sa senador, bago muling magpatawag ng special session sa Kongreso, dapat may mapagkasunduan muna ang mga mambabatas at Malakanyang sa mga gagawin pang hakbang laban sa nakakamatay na sakit.
Diin ni Lacson sa ganitong paraan ay walang mangyayaring pag-aaksaya ng oras.
Giit pa nito, hanggang hindi nawawala ang mga kapalpakan sa diskarte, nagtatapon lang ng pera ang gobyerno at mababaon na sa utang ang Pilipinas ay wala pang solusyon sa mga isyu.
“As long as the Department of Health is incompetently led and the health issue cannot be addressed appropriately, we will be in a Sisyphus-like situation. Worse, we will just be throwing away our country’s very limited resources that could bring us neck-deep in debt with no solution in sight,” sabi ng senador.
Dagdag pa nito, ”It’s bad enough that we will be forced to scrounge and even borrow just to augment our already limited funds. It’s infuriating if we lose it all – and more – to incompetence.”
