Lahat ng mga nasawing Pinoy sa Saudi Arabia iuuwi ng bansa kabilang ang mga pumanaw dahil sa COVID-19 ayon sa DFA

Tiniyak ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na iuuwi ang lahat ng mga Pinoy na pumanaw sa Saudi Arabia.

Pahayag ito ni Foreign Affairs Sec. Teodoro Locsin Jr., kasunod ng utos ng Saudi Government na sa loob ng 72 oras ay dapat maiuwi ng Pilipinas ang labi ng mga pumanaw na Pinoy.

Ayon sa datos ng Department of Labor and Employment, mayroong 282 na Pinoy na pumanaw sa Saudi, 50 dito ay pumanaw sa COVID-19.

Sinabi ni Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello III na papayag na ang gobyerno ng Pilipinas sa nais ng Saudi na doon ilibing ang 50 Pinoy na pumanaw sa COVID-19.

Pero ayon kay Locsin iuuwi lahat ang mga bangkay kahit ang mga pumanaw dahil sa COVID-19.

Wala aniyang pasilidad para sa cremation sa Saudi Arabia.

“There you go. Bebot has well founded fear of infection but you know me—pusong mamon. The cadavers are coming home to their loved ones intact. The Kingdom has no facilities for cremation out of respect for the dead that Xtianity had samde respect but not anymore. Ok na burning,”
