Pananabotahe sinisilip sa magkakasunod na power trip-off sa Iloilo City
Lumakas ang spekulasyon na pananabotahe ang dahilan ng naranasang magkakasunud na power interruption noong Sabado, June 20, sa Iloilo City matapos na rin lumitaw na nagkaroon ng misteryosong magkakasabay na loose connections sa Feeder 4 network ng Mandurriao Sub Station na nagresulta sa hindi inaasahang brownout.
Sa isang statement sinabi ng More Electric and Power Corp. (More Power) na kanila nang iniimbestigahan ang nangyaring power interruption ngunit hindi nila isinasantabi na sabotage ang nangyari lalo kung pagbabatayan ang nakakabahalang isinumiteng report ng Power Response Team (PRT) na rumesponde sa insidente.
Ayon kay More Power Spokesperson Jonathan Cabrera unang nakatanggap ang PRT ng report na nagkaroon ng loose connections sa kahabaan ng Q. Abeto Street, Mandurriao na naging dahilan ng pagtripoff ng Mandurriao Feeder 4, agad umano itong naisaayos kaya naibalik ang supply ng kuryente.
Hindi pa man umano nagtatagal ay muling nagtrip ang iba pang mga koneksyon na hindi maituturing na normal na pangyayari, ayon sa PRT nagkaroon ng detached primary line sa pin insulator malapit sa J7 Hotel; nagkaroon ng overheated connector sa The Mango Tree Restaurant; damaged suspension insulator sa kahabaan ng Oñate De Leon Street; damaged primary line conductor malapit sa Chicken Sari-Sari at damaged suspension insulator at primary jumper/dropping wire malapit sa McDonald’s Megaworld.
Nakaranas din ng pagpapatay-sindi ang supply ng kuryente na indikasyon na may nangyayaring pag atake sa electrical system.
“We are not discounting the possibility that there are individuals or groups who are out to discredit More Power with the series and the pattern of “mysterious trip offs” and related incidents have been a recurring problem since we took over the power distribution in the city of Iloilo”pahayag ni Cabrera kung saan inamin nito na ilang dating line personnel ng Panay Electric Company(PECO) na ngayon ay nagtatrabaho na sa More Power ang nagsabing maging sila ay nahihiwagaan sa insidente dahil hindi umano nangyayari na sabay sabay nagkakaroon ng loose connections.
Isa pa sa nagpalakas ng ebidensya na sabotahe ang nangyari ay ang kapansin pansin umano na ang mga naapektuhan ng brownout ay ang lugar kung saan naninirahan si Iloilo City Mayor Jerry
Treñas na matatandaang nanguna sa paghingi ng saklolo sa Kongreso para maalis na ang palpak na serbisyo ng PECO sa lalawigan at tahasan ding sumusuporta sa ginagawa ngayon ng More Power na repairs, rehabilitation at preventive maintenance.
Sinabi ni Cabrera na kanila ding tinitignan na sanhi ng biglaang brownout ay ang posibilidad na tuluyan nang bumigay ang mga power line connections dala na rin ng sobrang kalumaan nito, ani Cabrera, bagamat marami nang mga lumang poste at mga sira sirang linya ng kuryente ng PECO ang kanilang napalitan subalit marami pa rin ang kailangang isaayos.
Kasabay nito humingi ng paumanhin ang More Power sa mga consumers na naapektuhan ng power trip-off, tiniyak nito na kanilang sisilipin ang puno’t dulo ng insidente.

Again, our sincere apologies,” nakasaad sa statement ng More Power.
Samantala ilang power consumer din sa Iloilo City ang naniniwala na sinadya ang trip off ng linya ng kuryente.

Gayundin ang post ni Manny Santos na nagpatotoo na kalunos lunos na kondisyon ng mga linya ng kuryente ng PECO na napabayaan. Bagamat naapektuhan ng power interruption ay nagpaabot pa din ito ng pasasalamat sa More Power dahil sa naging mabilis naman ang pagtugon nito sa problema.

Naniniwala din ang netizen na si Niño Besquillo Saul na may posibilidad ng pananabotahe na nangyari.
