1,100 empleyado ng BI, sumalang sa mandatory rapid test
Nasa 1,100 empleyado ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang sumailalim sa rapid antibody test sa COVID-19 simula noong nakaraang linggo.
Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, patuloy na magsasagawa nito para matiyak na lahat ng empleyado ay dumaan sa pagsusuri.
“We have to make sure that our frontliners are not infected with this virus,” pahayag ni Morente.
Nagpasalamat din si Morente kay Manila Mayor Isko Moreno sa pagpayag sa hiling ni BI Deputy Commissioner Atty. Aldwin Alegre na isagawa ng healthcare workers mula sa city health office ang mandatory tests sa mga empleyado ng ahensya.
“We owe a great deal of gratitude to Mayor Moreno for heeding our request and for sending a team of frontliners from the city health department despite their hectic schedule in conducting COVID tests for residents of Manila,” aniya pa.
Ayon kay Alegre, Chair ng BI COVID Task Force, libre ang pagsusuri at test kits na ginamit.
Nangako rin aniya si Moreno na libreng isasagawa ang swabbing sa mga empleyado ng BI oras na maging operational na ang laboratoryo para sa COVID testing sa Maynila.
Libre ring ico-confine sa quarantine facilities sa Maynila ang BI employees na kailangang ma-isolate.
Samantala, ayon naman kay BI Port Operations Acting Chief Grifton Medina, nasa 328 immigration personnel na nakatalaga sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) ang sumalang sa rapid tests.
