Pangulong Duterte, tiwalang masasagot ni Duque ang mga alegasyon ukol sa pagresponde sa COVID-19
Buo pa rin ang tiwala ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kay Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, ayon sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang.
Ito ay sa kabila ng desisyon ng Office of the Ombudsman na magsagawa ng imbestigasyon kay Duque at iba pang opisyal ng Department of Health (DOH) ukol sa umano’y iregularidad sa pagresponse sa COVID-19 pandemic.
Sa press briefing, sinabi ni Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque na kampante rin ang pangulo na masasagot ng kalihim ang lahat ng alegasyon.
June 17 nang ipag-utos ni Ombudsman Samuel Martires, ang pagbuo ng joint investigation team sa ginawagang pagtugon sa nararanasang pandemiya.
