Nakiramay ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa pagpanaw ni dating Foreign Affairs Sec. Perfecto Yasay Jr.

Ayon kay Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. namuhay si Yasay nang walang sinasaktang sinuman at tumulong sa abot ng kaniyang makakaya.

Si Yasay ang unang foreign affairs secretary sa ilalim ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Naulila ni Yasay ang kaniyang asawa na si Marie Cecile at anak na si Stephanie.
