LOOK: “Grand Mañanita” protest ng iba’t ibang grupo ngayong Independence Day
Sa kabila ng pag-ulan hindi nagpaawat ang iba’t ibang mga grupo sa pagdaraos ng protesta ngayong ginugunita ng Araw ng Kalayaan.
Nagtipon sa University of the Philippines campus sa Diliman, Quezon City ang iba’t ibang grupo para sa “Grand Mañanita” protest.
Tinawag na “Mañanita” protest ang pagtitipon na kinuha sa Mañanita” party ni Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
Dalawang isyu ang tinalakay sa protesta – kontrobersyal na anti-terror bill at ang pagtugon ng pamahalaan sa pandemic ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Kabilang sa nakilahok sa protesta ang Congress of Teachers/Educators for Nationalism and Democracy, Movement Against Tyranny, Gabriela Youth, Anakbayan – Albertus Magnus, Kilusang Mayo Uno Metro Manila, Concerned Artists of the Philippines(CAP), College Editors Guild of the Philippines (CEGP), at Anakpawis Partylist.
