Paalala ni PNP Chief Gamboa sa mga pulis ukol sa social media protocols, welcome sa CHR

Welcome sa Commission on Human Rights welcomes ang paalala ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Archie Gamboa sa mga pulis na istriktong sundin ang social media protocols.

, as defiance to this would be meted out with administrative and even criminal charges.

Ayon kay Atty. Jacqueline Ann de Guia, tagapagsalita ng CHR, ang mga miyembro ng law enforcement ay kailangang may mataas na standard ng ethics at professionalism sa pagtugon sa tungkulin.

“Similarly, official communication platforms such as social media accounts must be utilised primarily as tools for disseminating accurate and reliable information to the public, particularly at this moment that our country is still battling with COVID-19,” pahayag ni de Guia.

Kasunod nito, ang mga social media content ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno ang dapat ipinakakalat para sa interes ng publiko.

Hindi aniya dapat ito gamitin para makasira sa ibang indibidwal ng mga walang basehang akusasyon.

“We echo the call of the PNP chief and hope that such actions that might compromise the rights of a person would be avoided in the future with the agency’s commitment to strictly enforce its existing protocols,” dagdag pa nito.
