Umuwing OFW unang kaso ng COVID-19 sa Ormoc City

May naitala nang unang kaso ng COVID-19 sa Ormoc City.

Ayon sa Department of Health-Eastern Visayas ang unang kaso ng sakit sa Ormoc City ay isang 46 anyos na lalaking Overseas Filipino Worker na umuwi mula Saudi Arabia.

Dumating ang nasabing OFW sa Tacloban City noong May 27, 2020 lulan ng flight Z2 8570.

Ayon kay Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez base sa impormasyon na ibinigay sa kanila, nag-negatibo ito sa COVID-19 test bago umalis ng Metro Manila.

Nagpahayag naman ng pagkadismaya si Gomez na noon pa ay nagpahayag na ng kaniyang posisyon tungkol sa pagpapauwi sa mga OFW sa mga lalawigan.

Ayon kay Gomez, simpleng koordinasyon lamang naman ang hinihiling nila mula sa national government sa proseso ng pagpapauwi sa mga OFW, dahil kung mayroong magpopositibo ay LGUs ang sasalo ng problema.

Ang Eastern Visayas ay mayroon nang 48 nakumpirmang kaso ng COVID-19.

Sa nasabing bilang, 30 ang gumaling na at 18 ang nagpapagaling pa.
