Pangulong Duterte duda sa kahandaan ng bansa sa online learning

Duda si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na handa na ang Pilipinas sa online learning.

Pahayag ito ng pangulo habang ikinakasa ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang alternative learning o ang online education dahil sa kinakaharap na problema sa COVID-19.

Sa public address ng pangulo sa Davao City, binigyang-diin nito ang nauna niyang polisiya na walang eskwela muna hangga’t walang bakuna kontra COVID-19.

Ayon sa pangulo, patuloy na iginigiit ni Education Secretary Leonor Briones ang alternative learning gaya ng teleconferencing.

Magandang ideya ito at kung kakayanin ng gobyerno ay bibili ng kagamitan para maipagpatuloy ang pag aaral ng mga estuydante.

Sa August 24 itinakda ng DepEd ang pagbubukas ng klase sa bansa.

“We have to wait for the vaccine. Maghintay talaga tayo sa vaccine. Sabi ko sa inyo walang vaccine, walang eskwela. [DepEd] Sec. Briones is insisting there should be an alternative there and she have a very good program for that. Parang teleconferencing. The technology is good but I don’t know if we’re ready for that. meaning to say if we have enough of those na gamitin para sa whole of the Philippines. We’re talking students, meron ba siya? If she has, if we can afford we’ll buy it and she can proceed in her novel idea on how the children would continue to their education.
