Opisyal ng PISTON, 5 pang tsuper inaresto sa Caloocan dahil sa paglabag sa GCQ

Dinakip ng mga pulis si Ruben Baylon ang deputy secretary-general ng transport group na PISTON, at lima pang driver ng jeep na kasama sa mga nagkilos protesta sa Caloocan kahapon.

Ayon sa Caloocan City Police Station, lumabag sa quarantine rules ang mga nagprotestang driver sa bahagi ng EDSA northbound lane kanto ng Concepcion Street.

Nagtipon ang nasa 30 mga driver para manawagan ng tulong sa gobyerno at hilingin na payagan na silang makabalik sa biyahe.

Pagkatapos ng protesta pinakiusapan ng mga pulis ang mga driver na kusa nang mag-disperse dahil labag sa quarantine rules ang kanilang ginagawa.

Gayunman, tumangging mag-disperse ang grupo.

Dinala sa Caloocan police station si Baylon at limang iba pa na sina Severino Ramos, 59; Wilson Ramilia, 43; Ramon Paloma, 48; Arsenio Ymas Jr, 56; at Elmer Cordero, 72.

Sasampahan sila ng paglabag sa city ordinances on social distancing and mass gatherings at resistance and disobedience to persons in authority sa ilalim ng Revised Penal Code.
