Unang araw ng GCQ sa NCR at iba pang lugar sa bansa, ‘generally peaceful’ – PNP

Inihayag ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na “generally peaceful” ang unang araw ng pagsailalim ng Metro Manila sa general community quarantine (GCQ) at modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) sa nalalabing parte ng bansa.

Ayon kay Police Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, tagapagsalita ng PNP, maayos na nakabalik sa operasyon ang ilang negosyo at establisimyento.

Nakabalik din sa trabaho ang ilang empleyado matapos ang 75 araw na lockdown bunsod ng COVID-19.

“PNP chief, Police General Archie Francisco F Gamboa noted field reports gathered by the PNP Command Center from Police Regional Offices indicating generally peaceful peace and order situation nationwide,” pahayag ni Banac.

Wala aniyang napaulat na untoward incidents maliban lamang sa mga ulat na may ilang stranded commuters dahil sa public transportation.

Ani Banac, tiniyak ni Gamboa na handa ang pambansang pulisya para tumulong upang masiguro ang kaligtasan at seguridad ng lahat ng manggagawa sa mga susunod na araw.

Mananatili pa rin aniya ang checkpoints, curfew, travel restrictions, mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng physical distancing at minimum health standards sa mga lugar na nakasailalim sa GCQ at MGCQ.
