Videoconferencing hearings, tuloy pa rin sa mga lugar na nakasailalim sa GCQ – SC

Inihayag ng Supreme Court na tuloy pa rin ang pagsasagawa ng videoconferencing sa mga pagdinig sa korte.

Ayon kay Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez, ito ay kahit na isasailalim na sa general community quarantine (GCQ) ang ilang lugar kabilang ang Metro Manila.

“Hence, for example if a party wishes his/her case to be heard via videoconferencing, the proper motion just need to be filed, and the court, using its sound discretion, can either grant or deny the motion,” ani Marquez.

Maaari aniyang gawin ang videoconferencing hearings para sa civil at criminal cases.

Nagkaroon na aniya ng tatlong conviction na na-promulgate sa pamamagitan ng online trial courts.

Kabilang dito ang kaso sa qualified human trafficking sa Angeles City, large scale trafficing sa prostitution at rape sa Cebu City.

Nasintensiyahan ng habang-buhay na pagkakakulong at reclusion perpetua ang mga akusado sa tatlong kaso.
