Change of Command sa Army, isinagawa sa dalawang lugar sa Mindanao

Nagsagawa ng change of command sa dalawang pinaka-kritikal na mga lugar sa Pilipinas na pinamumugaran hindi lamang ng Abu Sayyaf Group kundi pati na rin ng samu’t saring lawless elements.

Sa isang Joint Change of Command Ceremony sa Sulu noong Lunes, February 15 ay pinalitan ni Lt. Col. Ramon P. Flores si Lt. Col. Marces T. Gayat sa pamumuno ng 32nd Infantry Battalion ng Philippine Army.

Nilipat naman kay Lt. Col. Vladimir Lenos T. Villanueva ang pamumuno ng 35th Infantry Battalion mula kay Lt. Col. Gregorio S. Nieveras.

Sa Basilan noong sumunod na araw, Martes, Pebrero 16 ay pinalitan ni Lt. Col. Julius A. Cabarloc si Lt. Col. Melisan Raymund N. Recaido bilang commanding officer ng 64th Infantry Battalion, at ni Lt. Col. Ricardo M. Lucero si Lt. Col. Enerito D. Lebeco bilang commanding officer ng 18th Infantry Battalion.

Panauhing pandangal sa change of command ceremony si 1st Division, Philippine Army Commanding Officer at Task Force ZAMBASULTA Commander Major General Gerardo F. Barrientos na nagbigay katiyakan sa kakayahan ng mga bagong commanders na pamunuan ang mga kani-kaniyang batalyon.
