Partial operations ng rail system ng NCR, magbabalik sa June 1

Magbabalik na ang partial operations ng rail system sa pagsailalim sa general community quarantine ng Metro Manila simula sa June 1, ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr).

Sa pulong kasama si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, inihayag ni Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade na naghanda na ang mga tauhan sa railway sector sa pagsisimula ng operasyon.

Sinabi nito na nalagyan na ng marka ang mga upuan, ticket booth at iba pa upang magkaroon ng gabay sa mga pasahero.

“Handa ho kami sa Lunes. Bagamat sabihin ko na huwag i-expect na ‘yung operation ng tren is 100 percent,” pahayag ni Tugade.

Ayon sa kalihim, nasa average na 10 hanggang 12 porsyento ang magiging operational sa LRT at MRT habang 35 porsyento naman sa PNR.

“As I said, we have to balance our mandate to provide transportation with our responsibility to help in preventing the spread of the virus. Therefore, the capacity will also be limited gradual and calculated,” paliwanag ni Tugade.
