Pagtalaga kay Wilkins Villanueva bilang bagong PDEA Director General, welcome sa PNP
Welcome sa Philippine National Police (PNP) ang pagkakatalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kay Wilkins Villanueva bilang bagong Director General ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Ayon kay Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, tagapagsalita ng PNP, magkakaroon ng mas magandang kooperasyon ang PNP at PDEA sa pagpapatupad ng Philippine Anti-Drugs Strategy.
“As a seasoned anti-narcotics operative honed by long years of service in the PNP, his command of the country’s premiere anti-illegal drugs agency will result in better inter-operability of PNP and PDEA in implementing the Philippine Anti-Drugs Strategy,” ani Banac.
Ang mas pinaigting na ugnayan aniya ay magbibigay ng karagdagang lakas sa pambansang pulisya para maisagawa ang sariling strategic initiatives laban sa ilegal na droga.
Pinalitan ni Villanueva sa nasabing pwesto si Aaron Aquino.
Si Aquino naman ay itinalaga ng pangulo bilang miyembro ng Board of Directors ng Clark International Airport Corporation.
