POC, may alok na libreng bike para sa national athletes
Inihayag ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) ang alok na libreng bike para sa mga national athlete sa bansa.
Ito ay kasunod ng inaasahang paglipat sa tinatawag na ‘new normal’ dahil sa banta ng COVID-19.
Ayon kay Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, presidente ng POC, layon nitong makatulong para sa mga national athlete na walang personal na uri ng transportasyon.
Sinabi nito na malusog na paraan ang pagbibisikleta para makapunta sa iba’t ibang lugar.
Makakatulong din aniya ito para makasunod sa social distancing at makaiwas sa masikip na trapiko.
“With the new normal which mandates we find new ways to go about our daily business, national athletes who do not have a personal mode of transportation will surely benefit from this. Bicycling is not only a healthy way to get from one point to another, it also promotes social distancing, not to mention a means to avoid traffic,” pahayag ni Tolentino.
Samantala, sinabi ng POC na limitado lamang ang mabibigyan ng benepisyo.
Hindi pa naman inaanunsiyo ng POC ang proseso para sa aplikasyon.
