Inanunsiyo ito mismo ng coach ng men’s basketball team ng Georgetown University gamit ang kaniyang Twitter account.
Aniya, seryoso ang banta ng virus at hindi dapat isawalang-bahala.
Hinikayat din nito ang lahat na manatiling ligtas at alagaan ang sarili at mga mahal sa buhay.
Nagparating din ng pasasalamat si Ewing sa mga healthcare worker at iba pang front liners na nagsasakripisyo para masugpo ang nakakahawang sakit.
“I’ll be fine and we will all get through this,” pahayag pa ni Ewing.
Sa ngayon, naka-isolate si Ewing sa isang lokal na ospital.
Si Ewing lamang ang miyembro ng Georgetown men’s basketball program na nagpositibo sa COVID-19.
