Dalawang Chinese na nagbebenta ng pekeng gamot kontra COVID-19 arestado sa Cavite

Arestado ng pulisya ang dalawang Chinese Nationals sa sinalakay na warehouse sa Bacoor City sa Cavite dahil sa pagbebenta ng gamot na panlaban umano sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Kinilala ang mga nadakip na sina Zhixing Chen at Lingjie “Kira” Zhao na kapwa nagbebenta ng Lianhua Qingwen Jiaonang na kapsula.

Sila ay kakasuhan ng paglabag sa Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Act of 2009.

Isang suspek pa ang pinaghahanap ngayon ng mga pulis na kinilalang si Achinglee Payoran Xu.

Noong May 6 ay nagpalabas na ng abiso ang FDA laban sa pagbebenta, pagbili at paggamit ng Lianhua Qingwen Jiaonang.

Ayon sa FDA ang nasabing gamot kaso ay hindi dumaan sa registration at testing process at walang inilabas na authorization ang ahensya o Certificate of Product Registration para dito.

Ikinasa ang operasyon Biyernes, May 22 ng umaga kung saan nakumpiska ng mga otoridad ang 10,800 na kahon na mayroong lamang 24 na kapsula ng gamot.

Ayon kay Bacoor City police chief Lt. Col Vicente Cabatingan, mayroong nagbigay ng tip sa kanila tungkol sa nasabing warehouse na nasa loob ng Prime Pacific United for Consortium, Inc. sa Barangay Niog 2.
