Aabot sa P245.8 million na halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo ang winasak sa Zamboanga City
Ayon sa Bureau of Customs, gamit ang 40-ton na forklift truck ay sinira ang mga nakumpiskang smuggled na sigarilyo.
Dinala naman sa Sanitary Landfill sa Barangay Salaan sa lungsod ang mga winasak na kontrabando.
Ayon kay Customs Dist. Collector Segundo Sigmundfreud Barte Jr., nakumpiska ang nasabing mga sigarilyo sa mga nagdaang operasyon ng customs.
Ang pagwasak ay bilang pagtalima sa utos ni Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero na dapat sirain ang mga nakukumpiskang smuggled goods.
