QC LGU, nilinaw na walang karagdagang lugar sa lungsod na isinailalim sa lockdown
Nilinaw ng Quezon City government na walang karagdagang lugar sa lungsod na isinailalim sa lockdown.
Ayon sa QC LGU, 11 lugar lamang sa limang barangay ang nakasailalim sa Special Concern Lockdown simula noong May 13.
“What has been erroneously reported as lockdown areas are actually EECQ areas inside QC barangays, a strategy developed as early as March of this year together with the DILG and the PNP,” pahayag nito.
Ang konsepto anila ng EECQ ay batay sa guidelines ng pamahalaan kung saan dalawa o higit pang household sa isang barangay na may COVID-19 positive case ang isasailalim sa lockdown.
Dahil malaki ang populasyon sa bawat barangay sa lungsod, nagkasunod anila na ipatupad ang sistema kung saan ang mga lugar lamang sa barangay na may aktibong kaso ang isasailalim sa EECQ.
“This simply means these areas are subject to tighter checkpoints to ensure that positive patients and suspects on home quarantine (hot zones) are strictly prohibited from leaving their homes, while the movements of those in the immediate environs (warm zones) are strictly monitored,” paliwanag nito.
Sa ngayon, 34 barangay sa Quezon City ang nasa EECQ.
