Pagdinig ng senado tungkol sa ABS-CBN franchise inumpisahan na
Sinimulan na ngayong Martes, May 19 ng umaga ang pagdinig ng Senate Public Services Committee kaugnay sa prangkisa ng giant network na ABS-CBN.
Tatalakayin sa ginagawang “hybrid” hearing ang Senate Bill 981 na naglalayong mai-renew ang prangkisa ng ABS-CBN sa loob ng 25 taon pa.
Tatalakayin din ang Senate Bill 1521 na naglalayon na magbigay ng temporary franchise sa network na valid hanggang sa katapusan ng June 2022.
Pinamumunuan ni committee vice chair Senator Sherwin Gatchalian ang pagdinig.
Nag-inhibit kasi sa pagdinig ang chair ng komite na si Senator Grace Poe.
Imibitado sa hearing ang mga opisyal ng ABS-CBN Corporation, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), Department of Justice, Department of Information and Communications Technology, at kinatawan mula sa Office of the Solicitor General.
Inimbitahan din sina dating Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, retired Chief Justice Reynato Puno at retired Associate Justice Adolfo Azcuna.
