9 na bayan sa Eastern Samar isinailalim sa state of calamity
Siyam na bayan sa Eastern Samar ang isinailalim sa state of calamity dahil sa pinsala ng Typhoon “Ambo.”
Inaprubahan ng Provincial Board ang rekomendasyon ni Eastern Samar Gov. Ben Evardone na magdeklara ng state of calamity sa mga bayan ng Arteche, San Policarpo, Jipapad, Oras, Maslog, Dolores, Can-avid, Taft at Sulat.
Base sa inisyal na assessment ay matindi ang pinsala na naidulot ng bagyo sa imprastraktura at agrikultura.
Tinatayang 34,235 na pamilya mula sa siyam na bayan ang nawalan ng tirahan.
Sinabi ni Evardone na sumulat na sila sa National Housing Authority (NHA) para mapagkalooban sila ng housing materials, gayundin sa sa Department of Social Welfare and Development at sa Department of Labor and Employment para mabigyan ng cash and food-for-work ang mga residente.
Hiniling din ng provincial government sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang pagsasaayos sa Jipapad Bridge.
