Mga internet shop planong gamitin ng DICT para sa flexible learning system
Pinag-aaralan na ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) na makipag-ugnayan sa mga internet cafes para magamit ng mga mag-aaral para sa flexible learning system na isinusulong ng Department of Education (DepEd) at Commission on Higher Education (CHED) sa Academic Year 2020-2021.
Sinabi ni DICT Usec. Eliseo Rio Jr. sa pagdinig ng House Defeat COVID-19 Ad Hoc Committee, New Normal Cluster na ilang libong internet cafes sa bansa ang maaring i-repurpose at ma-reconfigure para gawing digital classrooms.
Sa ganitong paraan ayon sa opisyal makakapag-aral pa rin aniya sa ilalim ng flexible learning system ang mga estudyante na walang personal computer at access sa maganda at mabilis na internet connection.
Naunan nang sinabi ng DepEd at CHED na limitahan ang bilang ng mga estudyante na physically present sa mga paaralan at higher learning institutions para maiwasan ang pagkalat pa lalo ng COVID-19.
Sinabi ni CHED Chairman J. Prospero De Vera III na makakatulong ito sa pagpapatupad ng social distancing, at para mapangalagaan na rin ang kalusugan ng mga mag-aaral.
