Inalis na ng pamahalaang lungsod ng Marikina ang pag-iral ng liquor ban.
Ayon sa Marikina Public Information office, pinirmahan ni Mayor Marcy Teodoro ang Ordinance No. 64 Series of 2020 na naglalayong payagan muli ang pagbebenta at pagbili ng mga nakakalasing na inumin.
Ngunit, papayagan lamang ang pag-inom sa loob ng bahay para masunod pa rin ang social distancing measures at iba pang health and safety protocols sa COVID-19.
Ipinagbabawal pa rin ang pag-inom sa mga pampublikong lugar at restaurant o bar sa nasabing lungsod.
“In pursuant to City Ordinance No. 64 Series of 2020, the lifting of the Liquor Ban in the City of Marikina is effective today. Online delivery services of alcoholic beverages and liquors are likewise allowed during this period,” pahayag pa ng Marikina PIO.
Kabilang ang Metro Manila sa mga lugar na isinailalim sa modified enhanced community quarantine hanggang may 31.
