Quezon City, nakapagtala ng 42 degrees Celsius na heat index
Matindi pa rin ang init at alinsangang panahon na naranasan sa Metro Manila, araw ng Miyerkules (May 13).
Ayon sa PAGASA, pumalo sa 42 degrees Celsius ang heat index o alinsangang naramdaman sa bahagi ng Science Garden sa Quezon City bandang 3:00 ng hapon.
Umabot naman sa 34.8 degrees Celsius ang air temperature sa nasabing lugar sa kaparehong oras.
Dahil dito, patuloy ang paalala ng weather bureau na dalasan ang pag-inom ng tubig.
Iwasan din ang anumang physical activities tuwing tanghali at hapon para makaiwas sa heat stress.
