Bilang ng pulis na nagpositibo sa COVID-19, 140 na – PNP Chief Gamboa

Umakyat na sa 140 ang bilang ng pulis na tinamaan ng COVID-19 sa Pilipinas.

Sa virtual presser, sinabi ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Archie Gamboa na ang nasabing bilang ay katumbas ng 1.26 porsyento sa kabuuang confirmed COVID-19 cases sa bansa.

Limang PNP personnel aniya ang naka-confine sa medical facilities para magamot, 64 ang nananatili sa quarantine centers habang 17 ang nakasailalim sa home quarantine.

“The good news is, the 35.7% recovery rate of PNP COVID-19 cases has been consistently well above the national average, while the mortality rate is kept at the barest minimum,” pahayag ng hepe ng PNP.

“To enhance PNP capability to keep all 205,000 personnel COVID-19 resilient, we sought the Department of Health and World Health Organization approval to develop and operate our own RT-PCR testing laboratory, hopefully as soon as we are done with the proficiency test, as early as two weeks,” dagdag pa nito.
