US nababahala sa pagpapasara sa ABS-CBN

Nagpahayag ng pagkabahala ang Amerika sa utos ng pamahalaan ng Pilipinas na ipasara ABS-CBN.

Ayon kay State Department spokeswoman Morgan Ortagus, mahalaga ang free media sa pagpapakalat ng tamang impormasyon kaugnay sa coronavirus disease o COVID-19.

“We are concerned by the situation regarding ABS-CBN,” pahayag ni Ortagus.

“An independent media plays a critical role in facilitating the open exchange of information and ideas which is vital to free, prosperous and secure democratic societies,” dagdag ng opisyal.

Una rito, nagpalabas ng cease and desist order ang National Telecommunications Commision laban sa ABS-CBN dahil sa napasong prangkisa.

“This is true for the United States, the Philippines, as well as countries around the world,” pahayag ng opisyal.

Una rito, binatikos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang ABS-CBN dahil sa hindi pag-eere sa kanyang campaign material noong 2016 presidential elections.
