Pagpapasara ng NTC sa ABS-CBN, kinondena ng Malacañang Press Corps

Humihirit ang Malacañang Press Corps sa National Telecommunications Commission na panindigan ang pangako nito na mag-iisue ng provisional permit para makabalik ang operasyon ng ABS-CBN.

Pahayag ito ng MPC matapos itigil ng ABS CBN ang pagsasahimpapawid bilang pagtalima sa cease and desist order ng NTC matapos mapaso ang prangkisa noong May 4.

Mariing kinondena ng MPC ang utos ng NTC.

Ayon sa MPC, shameless at blatant attack sa press freedom ang ginawa ng NTC.

“We demand that the NTC honor its commitment to Congress to issue a provisional authority to ABS-CBN and to leave the issue of the franchise renewal to Congress,” pahayag ng MPC.

Kinakalampag din ng MPC ang Kongreso na aksyunan ang aplikasyon ng ABS-CBN na franchise renewal.

“We urge the members of Congress to act with dispatch on the application of ABS-CBN,” pahayag ng MPC.
