Mt. Halcon sa Oriental Mindoro, hindi puputok ayon sa Phivolcs

Hindi puputok ang Mt. Halcon na matatagpuan sa Oriental Mindoro.

Tiniyak ng Phivolcs na hindi isang bulkan ang naturang bundok kung kaya’t hindi ito puputok.

Ang pagtitiyak ay kasunod ng kumakalat na ulat sa social media na pumutok umano ang bundok.

Itinuturing ang Halcon Mountain Range na isa sa pinakamahirap akyatin na bundok sa bansa dahil sa steep slopes nito.

Ang bundok ang naituturing na pinakamataas na bundok sa Central Mindoro mountain range at ito ay may taas na 2,586 metres (8,484 ft).
