Paggamit ng Carrimycin bilang gamot vs COVID-19, hindi inirerekomenda ng DOH

Hindi inirerekomenda ng Department of Health (DOH) ang paggamit sa Carrimycin bilang gamot pangontra sa COVID-19.

Sa virtual presser, sinabi ni Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire na wala pang matibay at malawakang na scientific evidence para masabing ligtas at effective ang gamot.

Hinikayat naman ni Vergeire ang publiko na hintayin na muna ang resulta ng mga isinasagawang clinical trial para mahanap ang gamot laban sa COVID-19 pandemic.

Kaisa ang Pilipinas sa Solidarity Trial ng World Health Organization (WHO).
