Miyembro ng Abu Sayyaf patay sa engkwentro sa Indanan, Sulu
Isang miyembro ng Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) ang nasawi sa engkwentro na naganap sa Indanan, Sulu.
Nagsasagawa ng operasyon ang mga tauhan ng 41st Infantry Battalion nang maka-engkwentro ang tinatayang aabot sa 20 miyembro ng Abu Sayyaf Group sa Barangay Tumatangis.
Tumagal ng siyam na minuto ang palitan ng putok at kalaunan ay umatras ang mga kalaban.
Ayon kay Maj. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, commander ng Joint Task Force Sulu, na-recover nila ang isang M16 rifle na mayroong nakakabit na M203.
Isang sundalo naman ang bahagyang nasugatan sa engkwentro,
“The terror groups are taking advantage of the situation wherein some of our troops are deployed to assist the local government units in the battle against COVID-19,” ayon kay Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, commander ng Western Mindanao Command.
