Marcos jewelries, aabot na sa P1-B ang halaga

Inanunsyo ng Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG), na umabot na ng hindi bababa sa P1-bilyon ang halaga ng tatlong Marcos Jewelry Collection.

Batay sa ulat ng mga auction houses na Christie’s at Sotheby’s, 10 beses ang itinaas ng halaga ng Malacañang, Hawaii at Roumeliotes jewelry collections kung ikukumpara sa huling appraisal nito.

Sa appraisal nito noong 1991 ay $6 hanggang $8 milyon.

Matatandaang sa pinakahuling appraisal, isang rare pink diamond na nagkakahalaga ng hindi bababa sa $5 milyon ang nadiskubreng kasama pala sa Hawaii collection na hindi kasama sa mga alahas na na-appraise noon.

Samantala, inanunsyo rin ni PCGG Chair Richard Amurao na inaprubahan na ng Privatization Council nitong linggo lang ang pagbebenta ng Hawaii collection sa international market.

Dahil dito, umaasa si Amurao na sa wakas ay mararamdaman na ng mga Pilipino ang benepisyo mula sa kikitain dito.
