Dating DOT Sec. Ramon Jimenez, pumanaw na sa edad na 64
Pumanaw na ang dating kalihim ng Department of Tourism (DOT) na si Ramon “Mon” Jimenez sa edad na 64.
Kinumpirma ito ni DOT Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat.
Sa inilabas na pahayag, ipinarating ng kalihim ang pakikiramay ng buong kagawaran sa mga naiwang pamilya at kaibigan ni Jimenez.
Binibigyang pagkilala aniya ng DOT ang mga kontribusyon ni Jimenez para sa pagpapalago ng turismo sa bansa.
Kabilang aniya rito ang sikat na tourism campaign na “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” at ilang polisiya na humubog sa National Tourism Development Program (NTDP) mula 2016 hanggang 2022.
“Today, we mourn the loss of Mon Jimenez but we will be forever grateful to him for the growth of the tourism sector, and for promoting the Philippines as a place that is wonderful, joyous and fun,” pahayag pa ni Romulo-Puyat.
Si Jimenez ay tumayong kalihim ng DOT mula 2011 hanggang 2016.
