Panibagong Source Code para sa 2016 elections, ipinatago sa BSP

Nai-turn over na ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) ang source code na gagamitin para sa mga vote counting machines (VCMs) sa May 2016 elections.

Ang source codes na ipinatago ng Comelec sa BSP ay kapalit ng naunang source code na inilagay sa vault ng Bangko Sentral noong January 27.

Muling itinago ng BSP sa safety vault ang source code at tiniyak na walang basta-basta maaring makalapit o maka-access nito.

Mismong si Comelec Chairman Andres Bautista ang nag-abot ng source code kay BSP Deputy Governor Diwa Guinigundo.

Ang source code na ipinatago ng Comelec sa BSP ay gagamitin para sa election management system at sa vote counting machine.

Magugunitang sumailalim sa ‘rebuilding’ ang nasabing source code, matapos makitaan ng problema ng Comelec.

Sa isinagawa kasing testing ng Comelec, ni-reject ng VCM ang 1 to 2 percent ng ballot papers na inilagay dito.

Kinailangang baguhin ang ‘sensitivity’ ng mga VCM at para mabago ito ay isinailalim sa ‘rebuilding’ ang source code.
