2 timbog dahil sa paglabag sa liquor ban sa Maynila
Arestado ang dalawang lalaki makaraang mahulihan ng alak sa Lungsod ng Maynila, Sabado ng hapon (April 25).
Nahuli ng Manila Police District Station 11, Meisic Police Station ang mga lumabag sa liquor ban na sina Michael Duhaylunsod, 41-anyos; at John Leonard Argate, 36-anyos, sa bahagi ng Juan Luna Street malapit sa Meisic Street sa Binondo, Manila bandang 5:00 ng hapon.
Batay sa inisyal na imbestigasyon, sa checkpoint, nagsasagawa ng thermal scanning at visual inspectiona ang pulisya nang makita sa dalang puting Toyota Innova SUV ang ilang alak.
May nakalagay na “DO NOT DELAY” sign at “FLEXO MANUFACTURING SHUTTLE SERVICE” sticker sa wind shield ng sasakyan.
Nang hingan ng pulisya ng ilang dokumento tulad ng Quarantine Pass at Rapid Pass, walang naipakita ang dalawa.
Narekober sa dalawa ang 21 bote ng Alfonso Light Brandy 1L at 23 bote ng Red Horse 500ML.
Dismayado naman si NCRPO Regional Director Police Major Gen. Debold Sinas sa patuloy na paglabag sa batas ng ilang mamamayan kasunod ng enhanced community quarantine.
“Countless times have we reiterated our plea to our people to please do their part and obey all existing laws especially ECQ to aid in flattening the curve and ultimately putting an end to the health crisis that we are facing today. However, there are still a few who takes the risk and flagrantly violates existing protocols. In instances like this, we guarantee among our law abiding citizens that the full force of the law will be imposed against these violators,” ani Sinas.
Mahaharap ang dalawa sa kasong paglabag sa Executive Order 18 na nagpapatupad ng liquor ban sa Maynila, Republic Act 11469 o “Bayanihan to Heal As One Act,” Republic Act 11332 o “Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases Health Events of Public Health Concern Act” at Article 151 ng Revised Penal Code na may kaugnayan sa Proclamation Order 922 at 929.
